Agricultural Solutions
Timber shed floors rot, splinter and hold moisture, and steel mesh rusts. MaxiGRATE FRP grating is a long-lasting, low-maintenance and cost-effective alternative for shearing sheds, yards and farm buildings. The non-slip surface is safe for people to work on and comfortable for livestock to stand on.
FRP Grating for Shearing Sheds
Old timber floors can be replaced with our custom-designed MaxiGRATE FRP mini mesh. The mini mesh pattern has a 20mm x 20mm top grid with a 42% open area, so droppings fall through and the floor stays cleaner.
- Panels span up to 700mm unsupported
- Quick and easy to install
- Hardwearing and low maintenance
- Easy to clean
- Safe, non-slip surface
- Chemical and corrosion resistant
See shearing shed flooring for details, and the Cuyuac shearing shed project for an installed example.

Why Farmers Replace Timber With FRP
FRP does not rot, rust or absorb moisture, and it is not affected by the ammonia and wash-down chemicals found in sheds. It is UV stable for outdoor yards and ramps. Because the panels are light and cut to size before delivery, a shed floor can be fitted without heavy equipment.
For more uses, read FRP grating in the agricultural industry.
Tank Ladders and Access Platforms
Water tanks, silos and elevated equipment need safe access that will not corrode. MaxiLADDER FRP ladders are designed to AS 1657-2018, with cages and landings where the height requires them. See our tank access ladders.
MaxiRAIL handrails and FRP walkways can be combined with grating for platforms and crossovers around the property.

Made to Fit Your Shed
Send us the dimensions of your shed or the area to be covered, and the spacing of the existing joists. We cut the panels to fit and supply the 316 stainless steel fixings. The MaxiGRATE brochure has the full specifications.
