FRP Crossover Bridges

Crossover bridges provide a means for safe access over hazardous areas in industrial plants and factories. Using FRP for these types of structures further increases their versatility. With a strong and non-slip construction, these crossovers are ideal for chemical and water treatment plants, mining operations and more.
FRP offers a number of significant benefits over steel. Here are some of the advantages of using FRP for crossover bridges or platforms.
Male only

Safety
The FRP structures are fire and flame resistant and carry a flame-spread index (rating) of 25 or less when tested in accordance with the ASTM E-84 standard, while also meeting the ASTM D-635 extinguishing requirements.
The stair treads also feature a anti-slip surface even in the wet. Allowing people to safely use the platform in any conditions.
Cost
With the cost of steel rising, FRP provides a cost effective alternative. Further savings can be realised from the lightweight nature of the FRP with reduced transport and installation costs. The fibreglass reinforced polymer structures also have a very long service life, which require very little maintenance when compared to traditional materials which need to be painted or recoated.
Performance
The structures are also resistant to chemical and corrosion, making them suitable for use in many different industrial applications. Unlike steel, FRP will not permanently distort after an impact. They also offer resistance to UV and are also suitable to be submersed in water (even sea water).
