Mountain Bike Track FRP Bridges
Working with Trailworx, Composite Engineering designed and supplied a variety of FRP Bridges for Mountain Bike tracks located in the Redland Bay area of Queensland.
The 12m bridge design to safely cross the creek is built from our 152mm MaxiSTRUCT I-beam. To give a strong substructure to the bridge.
The surface of the bridge is our 22mm MaxiGRATE FRP mini mesh, with a gritted finish. The grit finish ensures the bridge is non-slip even in the wet.
All of the fittings for the bridge are 316 stainless steel for long lasting and virtually maintenance free service.
As with all of the Maxi range, they can stand up to the harshest of conditions and all the abuse a mountain biker can throw at it.
The 6m bridge is designed to support access for adaptive cyclists and is constructed using the ultra strong 203mm MaxiSTRUCT ‘C’ channel to produce a flex free span across the gap.
This bridge also features the 22mm MaxiGRATE mini mesh with a gritted finish for a safe non-slip surface.
There is also the addition of the substantial 64mm MaxiRAIL handrail system.
Unlike metal handrail systems, the MaxiRAIL system will not permanently deform after an impact and we give many, many years of service.
All of the MaxiSTRUCT profiles and MaxiRAIL handrails featured are in the light grey colour option. The MaxiGRATE shown is the Dark Grey/Charcoal option. Other options are available in the RAL colour range*.
