On oil and gas sites, access structures have to cope with salt air, hydrocarbons and process chemicals, often in places where hot work for repairs is restricted. Composite Engineering’s FRP range is built for these conditions. It will not rust, it is non-conductive and spark-free, and it does not need repainting.

FRP Handrails and Walkways Around Process Equipment

MaxiRAIL handrails hold up on walkways and platforms around processing equipment with no repainting or ongoing maintenance. The standard colour is safety yellow.

FRP walkways are used for pipe crossovers, bund access and elevated access to valves. MaxiLADDER ladders are made from vinyl ester materials and designed to AS 1657-2018.

FRP Cable Ladders for Refineries and Platforms

MaxiSTRUCT FRP cable ladders give the load capacity of steel systems and are non-corrosive, non-conductive and non-magnetic. They are manufactured to meet ASTM E-84 Class 1 flame rating and the self-extinguishing requirements of ASTM D-635. Typical uses include refineries, chemical plants and offshore platforms.

They can be installed vertically or horizontally, with or without lids, and we supply tees, elbows, cross junctions and reducers to suit.
