Treatment plants are wet all year and full of chemicals that attack steel. Walkways over tanks, platforms around dosing equipment and ladders into pits all need to stay safe without constant repainting. Our Maxi range of FRP products does not corrode, resists a wide range of chemicals and gives a non-slip surface even when wet.

FRP Grating for Water and Wastewater

MaxiGRATE FRP grating gives safe footing in wet areas, which makes it suited to walkways, access platforms and roof walkways. It comes in standard, mini and micro mesh with a choice of grit finishes, and we cut panels to fit around pipework and openings.

FRP Handrails and Ladders Around Tanks and Pits

MaxiRAIL handrails hold up around treatment tanks and wet processing areas where standard steel corrodes quickly. They are non-conductive and chemical resistant, and will not need repainting over the life of the system. The standard colour is safety yellow, with other RAL colours available on request.

MaxiLADDER FRP ladders are designed to AS 1657-2018. Options include safety cages, fall arrest systems and retractable walk-throughs for manholes and pits where a cover is used. For tank access, see our tank access ladders.
